The buildings were low and had large,glass doors. We went through the rooms of Louis XIV, XV, andXVI, also of Napoleon and Josephine and Marie Antoi-nette. They were all furnished with the original were also little anterooms where people who wishedto see the King or Queen would have to wait, according totheir rank. The highest would have to wait the shortesttime, and so on down. Beautiful fountains and gardens surrounded the palace.
