lose up Gill Detail of a Fungus (Lactarius pallidus?) Growing in a Birch Wood. Great Torrington, Devon, England.
This fungus was growing beneath beech trees in North Devon in early Autumn. There were several specimens but this was in the best condition. The cap was hollow in the centre and narrow crowded gills show traces of cobweb.
