An air gun, Southern Germany, circa 1830. Brass lined octagonal barrel with a smooth bore in mm calibre, inscribed " Hofmann" on top. The barrel can be tilted upwards at the breech end for loading and is secured by a spring-loaded hook. Interior lock, Air reservoir intergrated in the butt. Square lug to take the crank lever for the air container. Walnut full stock with engraved brass furniture, carved around the trigger guard and the cheek piece. Barrel and iron parts cleaned and slightly pitted. A repaired break at the trigger guard. Stock shows signs ,
