MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. -- Tubas line the stage in anticipation of the start of the first 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band Holiday Concert aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Dec. 8. Performances from the concert band, jazz ensemble and party band lit up the theater in a musical explosion of holiday fun. In addition to holiday favorites, the band featured a medley of tunes from "The Hobbit" and a visit from Santa. The commanding general of 3rd MAW, Brig. Gen. Steven W. Busby, also made a special appearance to read "The Night Before Christmas" for the children. (
