Historic Boat House taken from the quay side with the New Zealand stock exchange, the NZX Centre in background. Historic Boat House: Originally built in 1894 for Wellington Naval Artillery Volunteers Today it is the home of Wellington's Rowing Club. A prominent feature of Wellington's waterfront. Designed by architect Frederick de Jersey Clere. It was moved to its current location in 1989, it was also rotated to face the city rather than the harbor. It is now a Category I listed historic building.
