Before the Bolsheviks took power, there was a free election during the Alexander Kerensy period in which Jew as literate people and with little cohesion on issues voted as 6 different parties all of which were cancelled one the Duma or Russian Assembly was cancelled and the Bolsheviks took over. This party #6 on the ticket was the original Zionist Movement in Russia.
