AsCARis ViTULi (Vitulus—a calf.) Synonym.—Ascaris Bovis; Ascaris Vitulonim. Distribution.—Common in Southern Europe; rare in America. Description.—In this species the head is small and distinct; the lips are enlarged at the base and stand out prominently : the posterior extremity terminates in a conical point which is reddish white in color; the male is six to eight inches long; the female is eight to ten inches long and oviparous.
