Inthe summer of 1851, Mr. Brugger traveled on footthrough Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois,and Ohio, and back to his home in Pennsylvania, allthe way on foot, except crossing Lake Erie and fi-omChicago to Cleveland.
