MONSTERS - BIGORNE - CHICHE-FACE The two monsters of French legend, the first of which devours only good men, the second of which eats only good women. The bigorne is supposed to have two horns (bi-corne), whilst the other is a sort of 'flour-face': probably the origin of the monsters is more to do with the scarcity of good men and women than to do with the two monsters themselves.
