A dagger M 19 for officers of the "provisional" Reichsmarine Nickel-plated blade with an in-struck naval acceptance mark ("M" above an anchor) on the ricasso. Gilt brass pommel and cross-guard, black celluloid grip with brass wire wrap, push button for scabbard release. Black lacquered steel scabbard (locket screws missing), the holder as for a bayonet with slip-over band. Length cm. A very rare naval dagger in a version worn only for a short period of about 18 months.
