Umbria Perugia Foligno S. Giovanni in Profiamma, this is my Italy, the italian country of visual history, Medieval Architecture, architectural sculpture, sculpture, stone ciborium, metal crucifix. This church was constructed in the 11th-12th centuries from the remains of Roman buildings. The portal was built by a Master Filippo 1239, whose works are also known in Ancona. The interior of the church consists of a single nave, a presbytery and a crypt below. The columns of the crypt are spolia from earlier buildings, including an architrave from an 8th century structure. Foligno environs. Reimagined by Gibon. Classic art with a modern twist
