Refraction of light experiment. Apparatus used to show how light is refracted when passing from one medium to another with a different refractive index. Here, a glass test tube filled with glycerine has been lowered into a beaker of glycerine. As the refractive index of glycerine and the glass are about the same, the test tube is not visible inside the beaker.
