Battle Creek, Michigan - Workers place containment boom on the Kalamazoo River to contain an oil spill. A sign on the river bank warns against contact with the water. More than 800,000 gallons of oil spilled from an Enbridge Energy Partners pipeline. The pipeline carried heavy tar sands crude oil.
