One of the most primitive shark species in the world, cow sharks are one of only two species that have seven gills and range in size from about to meters. This scuba experience took place in the kelp forests off the shoreline of Simonstown, where we went in search of our colony of cow sharks. They are social feeders and group together which makes for an exciting experience. Photo by Roger Sedres/Image SA
