Master Sgt. Dan “Chef” Gross, a C-130 Hercules flight engineer within Al Udeid’s 746th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron is tasked with monitoring aircraft systems and analyzing emergencies. Gross says nothing is too difficult when you've planned and prepared ahead if you know the limitations of both you and your equipment. He adds, “The end result will have everyone on board smiling from ear to ear.”
