Portchester,Hampshire Wednesday 25th May 2016 A charity football match was thrown into doubt after travellers broke into a sports ground car park late night (Tuesday) The Portchester AFC are set to host up to 1,7000 football fans at the recreation ground on Saturday as Portsmouth footballers take on Glasgow Rangers in aid of Help for Heroes. A very tired spokesman for the club who spent the night at the club said its full speed ahead ? Police were on the site this morning and are liaising with Fareham Borough Council officers on moving the group on. The group who have been told that Police would serve a section 61 notice if they hadn't moved by 2pm this afternoon. Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of Fareham Borough Council, said police would be issuing an order this afternoon instructing the travellers would need to leave - or they would be forced on. Travellers, in a convoy of eight caravans, arrived at the Wicor recreation ground in Portchester last night, sawing through wooden bollards to gain access. Police and Fareham Council officials arrived on site this morning and have been successful in moving the convoy on. Other locals have also been effected One thought that group may have snatched her horse kept in a near by field. Kind hearted managers at the local ground kept guard after letter the woman move the horses into the football pitch in the late hours.@UKNIP
