09/10/18 Surrounded by stunning autumnal colours on Bishton Hall's Virginia Creeper, potential bidders arrive to view lots ahead of the contents of the quintessentially British house being auctioned. Included in sale is the 1958 series one Land Rover parked outside the hall that belonged to the hall's owners who ran St Bedes School from the property near Rugeley, Staffordshire, for many years . The school and hall have now been sold and its future is unknown. The contents will be auctioned on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday by Hansons Auctioneers. One man who was a boarder at the school from the age of five, and who hadn't been back for thirty years came to view the sale items and said: "I'll probably buy a desk or something. I'm not sure if I'll cherish it or want to blow it up. The hall hasn't changed at all - it even smells just the same as it did years ago." All Rights Reserved, F Stop Press Ltd.
