Human foetal kidney corpuscle development, light micrograph

Renal corpuscle development in a human foetal kidney, light micrograph. Developing renal corpuscles are seen deep in the cortex of a foetal kidney. The Bowman's capsule and uriniferous space are clearly distinguishable. Note the great cellularity of the vascular tuft, as well as the existence of a reinforcement of nuclei in the peripheral zone of the tuft, corresponding to the developing podocytes.
