Scrotal telangiectasia is an increase in the size of small blood vessels beneath the surface of scrotal skin. Also known as \broken veins\", it can result from heavy and prolonged alcochol consumption but often the cause is not clear. Ordinarily the condition is not harmful but it can be treated, often without success, by electrodessication (electrically destroying the upper skin layers)."
