Mr. Bailey was characterized by energy, both physical and mental,by devotion to his friends, associates and employer. He was particularlysuccessful in his relations with the men under him and, in fact, wasthoroughly well liked by everybody with whom he came in Lewis Newton Bailey. At the same time he waseffective in manual and mechanical work and was generally found workingside by side with the men under his direction. Lieutenant Louis Baird Louis Baird, a Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery of the BritishArmy, died on the battlefield in 1915. Lieutenant Baird was born July 28, 1880, at Stirling, Scotland. Histechnical education was obtained at Kings College, Melbourne, Australia,in 1893 to 1895, and at the Technical College at Glasgow, Scotland, in1897 to 1900.
