A view of the Monumental Gate in Side, in Antalya Province, Turkey (Turkiye). It was built during the reign of the Roman Emperor Vespasian in the 1st century AD. The Monumental Gate was the main entrance to the city and served as a symbol of its wealth and power. The gate is decorated with intricate reliefs depicting scenes from Greek mythology and Roman history, including the battle between the gods and the giants, and the triumph of Emperor Vespasian. The gate is made of marble and is approximately 7 metres (23 feet). It is one of the most impressive examples of Roman architecture in the sprawling Roman city at Side and is a popular tourist attraction.
