The orangery in the historic Jardin des plantes de Montpellier was designed by Claude-Mathieu Delagardette (1762–1805) and completed in 1804.


Jardin des plantes de Montpellier is a 4,5ha historical botanical garden and arboretum. The garden was established 1653 by a letter patent of King Henri IV. It is France's oldest botanical garden. The garden was expanded in the 19th century. It's orangery was designed by Claude-Mathieu Delagardette (1762–1805) and completed in 1804.
