On Sunday 3rd July Kevin Davis of the Last Post Association was joined by Captain (Navy) Renaud Flamant, Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in the UK to remember and honour four Belgian Secret Operations Executive WW2 Agents and their fallen countrymen at the Brookwood Military Cemetery. The life stories of Lt. Henri Gaillot "Grandpère" , Lt. Pierre Geelen, Lt. George Demand and Lt. Julien Detal were researched & told by Paul McCue, author & military historian with the Secret WW2 educational charity. Services began at the 1939-45 Brookwood Memorial to the missing. The Belgian Agents have no known grave & so their names are recorded there on Panel 22. Their stories were told by Paul at the Memorial & again later at the Air Forces Shelter where Captain Flamant placed a wreath on behalf of the Belgian people & their Ambassador in the UK, Mr Bruno van der Pluijm. Respects were paid to the 47 Belgian servicemen interred behind their Memorial. The Belgian SOE Agents honoured are: Lt. Henri Gaillot "Grandpère" , Lt. Pierre Geelen, Lt. George Demand and Lt.
