The plants were in full bloom onMay 14th, when there was a hard frost, and onthe 15th, water froze y% of an inch thick nearthe plants, yet this variety was apparentlyuninjured, while other sorts were nearly picked fruit from the Belle last seasonfor 32 days, commencing June 10th.
