Vung Tau Port is a group of seaports, one of the sea transport hubs of Vietnam. Cai Mep is the main port for container transport. Currently, the port is capable of receiving ships up to 50,000 DWT. The Vietnamese government is developing this port so that by 2015 this port can handle ships of 100,000 DWT. A container crane or container handling gantry crane or (sts) ship-to-shore crane is a type of large dockside gantry crane found at container terminals for loading and unloading intermodal containers from container ships.
