Tusks.—The large number of boars tusks met with,quite unconnected with the bones of the animal, especiallyin the relic-bed around the fireplaces, suggests the idea thatthey may have been used as implements. One only, how-ever, was found to havedecided marks of having beenformed into a tool. It is 3|inches long, and very sharply pointed (Fi-. 158). FiS- 158.—Implement of Boars Tusk (h) 10. Pigments.—Several soft lumps of what appeared tobe a blue and a red pigment were found, but they were notsubjected to analysis. A specimen of the latter, which hasbeen kept in a bottle, is now turning blue like the former 11.
