Forceps could not be applied, delivery afterperforation was judged to be impossible, so enucleation,ecrasement, and Caesarean section were the only remainingalternatives. Enucleation was fortunately chosen. VIII RELATION TO PREGNANCY 39 The foetal head came quickly down into the brim, andthe child was delivered, by gentle traction, alive andhearty.
