The Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce, Washing-ton, D. C, has informed The India Rubber World that de Toledo has been superseded as Brazilian Minister ofAgriculture. It is understood that his successor is Dr. Edwigesde Queiroz. The late minister had, it will be recalled, beenprominent in the development of the Defesa da Borracha, orBureau for the Defense of Rubber. Reports state that thepolicy of this bureau has not been abandoned, but that its scopehas been greatly decreased.
