Tvniatily (Iccoiiiiinuiul, or times conipoiiinl loaf. one sort of those of the lied Cedar and Arbor Vit,-? (Fig. 135, those on the larger l)ranchlets). 'J^liose on other branchlets, as at a, are shorter, blunt, and scale-shaped. T]iread-shap)ed or Filiform leaves ; round and stalk-like, as those of the Onion. Equitant leaves, like those of Iris (Fig. 64), which are folded together lengthwise, as may be seen at the base, where they override each other. They grow upright, with their faces looking.
