Birdwatchers, using a spotting scope, telescope, and binoculars, They are watching the wildlife spectacle as winter waders and other birds, geese & ducks move across the estuary marsh feeding looking for roosting sites as the seawater rises. The first 500 Pink-footed geese have made the 500 mile journey from Iceland to spend the next month at Marshside and roosting on the local mere. Over the next couple of weeks numbers will steadily increase with an estimated 100,000 geese expected to arrive from Iceland.
