1920's-vintage de Haviland Moth, forerunner of the Tiger Moth, ready for flight at the Shuttleworth Trust, Old Warden, Beds
The Moth was the first really successful British aircraft designed for private civilian ownership. Hundreds were built and it and was the mainstay of private aviation up until the outbreak of WWII. G-EBLV was the 8th aircraft to be built. It was issued to the Lancashire Aero Club in 1925 and now flies regularly with the Shuttleworth Trust at its airfield at Old Warden, Bedforshire.
