221021-N-OA516-1177 KAILUA-KONA, HAWAII (Oct. 21, 2022) – Daniel Akaka Jr. and his wife, Anna, perform a blessing for crew members of the Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Daniel Inouye (DDG 118), during a scheduled port visit in Kailua-Kona. The visit marks the first time that the destroyer, named after Medal of Honor recipient and former Senator Daniel K. Inouye, visited the island of Hawaii.
