Thereupon the laborers takesand from the adjoining unworked part of the place,and throw at every two feet a shovelful over the brush-wood, thus covering not only the seeds, which will, inthe meantime, have mostly fallen through the bushesto the ground, but also fastening the loose brushwoodto the soil.
