Dundee, Scotland, UK. 27th November, 2013. Canadian Opera Soprano Singer Kyla Lingley performing live at the Murraygate in Dundee city centre to raise money for Breast Cancer Lingley was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. She began her musical journey at the age of 6 with Organ lessons following in her mother's footsteps. Kyla was always involved in choirs but her love for singing was clearly demonstrated when she played the lead in the musical Grease. Kyla's career continued when she was invited to perform with the Opera Studio in Toronto where she played many roles including her favourites which are Musette from La Boheme, Susanna from Marriage of Figaro, Zerlina from Don Giovanni, Mrs Fiorentino from Street Scene. In 1999 Kyla relocated to London, to play the roles of Heidi in Ten Belles with out a ring, Sophie from Der Rosencavilier whilst with Morley Opera in London. Since then Kyla has performed in many concerts in the UK, including singing live on BBC TV with Katherine Jenkins at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, in front of 75,000 people. Kyla has also performed in many concerts across Canada, USA & the Middle East. Kyla is currently recording another album, as well as performing in shows & concerts across the UK and Canada, whilst still devoting her time to her charity tour.
