Passengers embark onto the Cowes Chain Ferry East side
"The Floating Bridge" chain car & passenger ferry transports it loads across the River Medina estuary and is a vital link between East and West ferry must give way to vessels navigating the estuary, and passing boats must take care to clear the chains which stretch from bank to bank and rise up to the ferry on each side. It operates monday morning to saturday night in continuous crossings at short intervals. It is free to foot passengers and cyclists.
