It will be seen that we treat the subject from the time of planting up to the time that the fruit is placed on the market. Look over, if you please, the list of books treating on fruit growing, and you will find them to be painfully few. Examine the contents of the majority of nursery catalogues issued at the present time and see, for instance, how carelessly the descriptions of fruits, etc., are treated.
