Saint Monica's trains adolescent girls in skills such as tailoring and cooking. Many of them are from troubled backgrounds, in the extreme cases they are former abductees of the LRA, Lord's Resistence Army, where they were child soldiers or sex slaves of Joseph Kony and other LRA leaders.
