Russell's viper , Daboia russelii , Aarey Milk Colony , INDIA. Russell's viper is a species of venomous snake in the family Viperidae. It is distributed through the Indian subcontinent except for islands and high altitude regions of Himalaya and Northeast India. The venom is a hemotoxin and is one of the five most deadly venoms in India. In spite of being a deadly reptiles, they are one the verge of vulnerability due to illegal trade for venom, road kills and misconception.
