Place Massena, Nice
Nice is the 2nd largest city on the French Mediterranean coast and capital of the Alpes Maritimes department. Place Masséna is the main square of the city much enlarged in recent years a modern tramway passes through the square which now pedestrianized and decorated with public art works. The square is bordered by red ochre buildings of Italian architecture and is adjacent to busy shopping streets. Cycling is a popular form of transport in Nice which also operates the Velo Bleu bike hire facility.
