Bosham Creek at high tide beside the yacht club
Bosham (pronounced /bɒzəm/) is a small coastal village and civil parish in the Chichester District of West Sussex, England, situated three miles (5 km) west of Chichester on an inlet of Chichester Harbour. The name Bosham is derived from Bosa's water meadow. The village has an interesting history, it is thought to be the birth and burial place of the last Saxon King, Harold. The Village stands on a small peninsula between two tidal creeks at the eastern end of Chichester harbour. It provides excellent sanctuary for migrating wildfowl and is a centre for sailing.
