July 2nd 2008, one of five, at 84 km long Kanal Elblaski (Elblag Canal) designed in 1825 to 1844 by Georg Steenke and built 1844 to 1860, to connect the Drausensee (Jezioro Druzno) to the Drewenz (Drweca) River and cities of Deutsch Eylau (Ilawa), Osterode (Ostroda) and Elbing (Elblag).
