The three main structures are the folded area of the cerebrum (light brown), the cerebellum (lobed structure, dark brown) at the rear of the brain, and the brainstem (beige), the protrusion at the base of brain. At centre are various parts of the limbic system and the structures joining the two brain hemispheres. The brain's enclosing membrane and fluids (blue) are shown, as well as some of the paranasal sinuses (large spaces in the bones) and neck vertebrae. The olfactory nerve (orange) is also shown.
