New recruits with Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, receive their initial gear during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Aug. 20. Recruits were given essential items in order to begin training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Nov. 16.
