If they appear upon any part of the face, they exhibit abrighter red color than when seated upon other districts that areprotected by the clothing. As with the papules of lichen so with syphilitic tubercles,there is some variety in their style of distribution ; henceWilson has given the names, tubercula corymbosa, tuberculacircumscripta, tubercula disseminata, tubercula annulata; andwhen there is a strong pyogenic tendency in the system,
