Mining museum dedicated to copper in the Visnes area, Norway

Visnes was once the largest workplace in Norway and the largest copper factories in northern Europe were located here. Visnes was the second in Norway to have electric light (1885), the first to have a telephone (1880) and a drilling machine (1875) for use in the mine, which naturally made the work much easier and faster. The reason for this was the modern technology introduced from the mainland.
