Steven Russo, assigned to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 30, Detachment 5, salutes Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, Commander-in-Chief Self-Defense Fleet Vice Adm. Yasuhiro Shigeoka and Commander, 7th Fleet Vice Adm. Joseph Aucoin before boarding a C-2A Greyhound for a visit to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) at the end of Annual Exercise (AE) 16. AE 16 is aimed to increase interoperability between Japanese and American forces through training in air and sea operations.
