The indomitable persistency and cool cour-age with which he held the allied armies of England andFrance so long in check, and the terrible repulses they met athis hands, are matters of history. He is a good type of themodern Russian of the highest class. II.—The Round Face. The predominance of the vital or nutritivesystem, occupying the great cavities of thetrunk, tends to give breadth and thickness ofbody, limbs, and head.
