This Mill can be stopped at anytime, and in the strongest wind, by any persongently applying the brake, by means of a leverat the foot of the Mill, as shown in the illus-tration, until the Mill is stopped, hooking thelever in the ratchet to hold it still. It re-quires that the recesses in the boxes shouldbe filled with cotton, and all the moving partsoiled once in three or four days, and requiresoccasional attention to see that all the boltsare screwed tight.
