Named after the great renaissance Dutch philosopher and humanist, Rotterdam's beautiful new suspension bridge adds considerably to the city's skyline of exciting new in 1996, it crosses the Nieuwe Maas in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the busy north and south sides of the city. Here we are crossing the bridge, looking up to see one of the giant support structures.
