191025-N-XO654-1180 NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Oct. 25, 2019) - USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) passes the decommissioned Kitty Hawk-class aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) as the ship gets underway. Ford departed Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding and returned to sea for the first time since beginning its post-shakedown availability in July 2018 to conduct sea trials.
